Cookbook Recipes
Title: Bulgoki
Author: Jan Sharpnack (Reatha's Daughter-in-law)
Ingredients: 1 lb beef round steak
1/4 c soy sauce
3 T sugar
2 T sesame Oil
1/4 tsp pepper
3 green onions, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
Method: Trim fat from beef. Cut beef diagonally across grain into 1/8 in. x 2 in. slices. (For ease in cutting, partially freeze beef about 1 1/2 hours.) Mix remaining ingredients. Stir in beef until well coated. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes. Stir-fry in wok or skillet over medium-high until meat is light brown, 2-3 min. May cook longer until juice is reduced. Serve beef with hot cooked rice.
