Cookbook Recipes
Title: Beef Burgundy
Author: Marilyn Grove (Marvin's Daughter)
Ingredients: 1 lb Sirloin (cut in cubes)
2 T Butter
12 small Onions
1 jar mushrooms or fresh mushrooms, as desired
1 can Golden Mushroom Soup
1/4 c Burgundy Wine
2 tsp Parsley
1/8 tsp Pepper
Method: Brown beef in butter. Cook rest of ingredients together for at least 1 hour and serve over noodles or rice.
Comments: I REMEMBER AUNT LOIS MAKING THIS FOR DINNER WHEN WE VISITED AND WENT SWIMMING ALL DAY (THAT WAS OFTEN!) NOW IT IS A STAPLE OF MINE FOR PARTIES. IT WAS ONE OF MY CHOICES FOR MY SON'S REHEARSAL DINNER HELD AT OUR HOME. BE SURE TO USE GOLDEN MUSHROOM AND NOT CREAM OF MUSHROOM SOUP.
