Cookbook Recipes
Title: Scalloped Cabbage Supreme
Author: Laura Gates
Ingredients: 6 c chopped Cabbage
2 t Flour
3/4 c Milk
3/4 c grated American Cheese
1/4 c Butter, melted
3/4 tsp Slat
Pepper to taste
1 1/2 c soft Bread Crumbs
Method: Parboil cabbage in 1 quart of boiling water for 5 min. Drain. Place in 9 in. square pan.  Blend 3 T butter with flour in saucepan. Stir in salt, pepper and milk. Simmer for 5 min., stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese until blended. Pour over cabbage. Sprinkle with mixture of bread crumbs and remaining butter. Bake ar 375 for 20 min.
Yield: 6 servings
